The New Studio Space

We’ve turned our awkward hallway into my office/studio

I've been using this room for printing and packing for a while as this has been the plan for a few months. I've slowly been gathering bits and pieces like the large packing / painting table and bureau (which by the way was £25! Absolute bargain!) but it hasn't been until this week that it's all come together. This room has been a difficult one to fill, we have a lovely snug and a kitchen/living area already so we really don't need another sitting room, it's bang in the centre of the house where we walk through every day.  It's also a not a room you can shut the door on and forget,  There's a large opening from the kitchen area also meaning it can be seen at all times, otherwise it would have made the perfect playroom. (I don't want to be relaxing on a night looking over at a see of plastic toys, no thank you.)  It's a big and awkward space but it has so much potential… So I thought why not turn into my vintage studio haven? It has plenty of room for Ted to play still, it's in the centre of the house so I can combine my work and parenting life. It already has a sofa for magazine reading and tea sipping, there's no TV point either. It's the perfect focus space for my messy brain and should make life easier when baby number 2 comes this summer.
