Garden Love - New Summer 24 Collection
Garden Love
Gift-wrap & Stationery Collection
A collection of greeting cards and gift wrapping paper that celebrates everything magical about a day spent working in the garden
For the Gardeners, The Garden Lovers, The Garden Sitters and the Drinking-Tea-and Coffee-in-the-Gardeners
I strongly believe there are two types of people, those who have discovered the joy of working with soil and those who have yet to discover it. There really is nothing better for my mood, my mental energy, my physical well-being and my even my relationship with my husband. Our lives are so busy and our garden is neglected but we do what we can and those rare moments together in the garden are when we’re both at peace at the same time. It's medicinal magic, hard work and even heartbreak (when slugs, rabbits and chickens get involved) and it's the inspiration behind my latest collection of stationery.
Gifts for Garden and Plant Friends
There’s really nothing more exciting than when two people become friends and discover they both share a green fingered passion. Don't you think? I have 3 friends that pop straight to mind when I think of plants… Issy, Kayleigh and Laura. We all mutually understand that a day in the garden is better than any day in the spa. Well this wrapping paper, and these greetings cards are perfect for handing to those kinds of friends!
An Accidental Gardening Collection - Born through nothing but painting what makes me happy
If I said I set out to create a wrapping paper and card collection perfect to pass between one plant obsessed friend to another then I would be lying. I simply started drawing and painting In watercolour all of the things that were bringing me so much joy. A chive plant with it's wobbly purple pompoms wafting around in late spring, my old rusty watering can that has seen lots of plants, people and stories. The wild rose growing where it shouldn't be and looking all the more beautiful for it. The old trowel that's helped many a hand dig a hole. Those trusty scissors and the birds that watch me work. The plant pots stacked up in the corner ready to nurture the next season of flowers and food. The well worn trusty apron that collects the eggs and holds the tools. So I guess you could say I had a load of paintings and I whacked them all onto a few InDesign documents and sent them to the printers. And there you go… my new collection was born..
So although I guess I didn't set out to design a new collection, what I do have is a selection of greetings cards and gift wrapping paper that celebrates everything magical about my favourite kind of days… those days spent in the garden. The feeling of tending plants, of tidying and watering. Those days when that cup of tea sat on a wooden sleeper tastes better than anything else ever has. You really do say ahhhh after the first sip. It's a collection of stationery that celebrates the passing butterflies and the shy little birds, it's here to celebrate the wild flowers, the not so wild flowers and everything in between. It’s here to celebrate gardening, gardeners, gardens and the wildlife, love and dedication that creates one.
An On-Going - Never Ending - Always Adding to - Kind of Collection
I didn’t want a collection that was made, finished and forgotten about. The garden will continue to bring me joy, sorrow, fruit, veg and flowers and so will this set of stationery. So, keep those eyes peeled for more products being added.
I hope you like it.
